Please post comments or questions about this good news! <br /> <br />The first chapter shows Luke is telling his story because as a servant he doesn't hide his faith. Remember the parable about the servant hiding his money in the ground? Luke didn't want to do that. <br /> <br />The second chapter lets us know Joseph was from Bethlehem and was going there to be taxed. There was time to prepare for the birth of Jesus. Think about it. If you were traveling with a pregnant wife to the place of your orgin, wouldn't there be a family member or relative to stay with? Our carnal rituals weren't enough to purge our conscience from dead works.
